The Rutgers Geology Museum Annual Open House and Mineral Sale takes place every January. The free, family-friendly event includes kids activities, make-and-take arts and crafts activities, a scavenger hunt, time to explore museum exhibits, mineral and fossil identification with experts, lectures for adults and children , and a mineral sale. The mineral sale is one of the largest in New Jersey and draws hundreds of visitors every year.  Free admission.
