There are many amazing NJ fall festivals being planned, with something for everyone. Whether you’re interested in foodie events, fabulous kids’ activities, great music, fun on the farm, or celebrations of art, history, or film, there’s something for everyone in our guide to fall festivals in New Jersey!

Sept. 29: Historic Smithville Italian Festival

Sept. 29: Monroe Township Green Fair
The Monroe Township Green Fair features fun activities and exhibits that are designed to educate the community about healthy and sustainable living as well as how to become responsible environmental stewards.
Sept. 29: Raritan Township Community Day

Sept. 29: Greenwich Artisans Faire and Marketplace

Sept. 29: Evesham Harvest Fest
The Evesham Harvest Fest features over 90 handcrafters and artists, new food vendors as well as old favorites, live music, and much more!
Sept. 29: LBI Sea Glass and Art Festival

Sept. 29 & 30: Historic Soldiers Weekend
Historic Soldiers Weekend at Fort Mott State Park offers visitors the opportunity to journey back in time and see, hear and touch real history through the life of a typical soldier during the French & Indian War, Civil, World Wars and beyond. The Springfield Fall Festival and Car Show is a day full of fun for all ages! Sept. 30: Historic Longstreet Farm Harvest Home Festival

Sept. 30: Hoboken Arts and Music Festival
The Hoboken Arts and Music Festival will feature live music on three stages (one stage is devoted exclusively to children’s entertainment, as well as hundreds of artists & craftspeople, delicious food for purchase from Hoboken’s best restaurants and food vendors, and kids’ activities including games, rides, creative activities, sand art, face painting, and more!
Sept. 30: Morristown Fall Festival

Sept. 30: Red Bank Guinness Oyster Festival
The Red Bank Guinness Oyster Festival is a huge food and music festival which showcases Red Bank’s excellent restaurants as well as entertains thousands of people with continuous live music on two stages! There will be lots of activities for the kids, plus shopping with many unique vendors! Of course, there will be tons of Guinness and fresh oysters!
Sept. 30: HistoryFest 2018
Come on out to the Updike Farmstead in Princeton for HistoryFest 2018 where this year’s theme is “Edible History”! Enjoy music, lawn games, hands-on cooking activities for families, a “revolutionary” tea, learn about classic Princeton restaurants and food culture, and more!
Oct. 5-8: LBI FLY International Kite Festival
The LBI FLY International Kite Festival features kites in many amazing and unusual shapes and designs that will amaze spectators. The festival includes sport kite flying demonstrations and competitions, an indoor kite festival (featuring celebrity kite fliers who can fly kites in zero wind) and the Sunday night kite fly at Barnegat Light that is choreographed to music. There will also be kids’ kite making activities, a craft show, live music, and great food from local vendors.
Oct. 6: Collingswood Book Festival
The award-winning Collingswood Book Festival is the longest-running, largest literary event in the Delaware Valley! More than six blocks of Haddon Avenue will be filled with authors/speakers for adults and children, as well as booksellers, storytellers, poetry readings, workshops, exhibitors, kid-friendly activities, and entertainment for all ages.
Oct. 6: Hightstown Hometown Harvest Fair
The Hometown Harvest Fair in Hightstown NJ is a fun-filled day featuring local artists and crafters, small businesses, three stages of live music, great food, children’s rides and activities & much more!
Oct. 6: Wildwood Seafood and Music Festival
Enjoy great seafood and two stages of all-day live music at the Wildwood Seafood and Music Festival! Performers include the Sass Fraction Band, 99 Reasons, Electric Beach Band, and Shot of Southern. The event also includes a “Kids Korner” with activities like pumpkin painting, crab hat making, and inflatable bounce houses, plus crafters, food vendors, games, a pie eating contest and much more!
Oct. 6: Morristown Big Brew Beer Festival
The Morristown Big Brew Beer Festival offers beer-lovers a chance to sample unlimited pours of over 200 craft beers. Guests can also compliment their favorite brews with delicious eats from local restaurants including Angry Archies and Bacon Me Crazy.
Oct. 6: Highlands Oktoberfest
The feel-good spirit of the Highlands Oktoberfest is modeled on the traditional German Oktoberfest with an emphasis on eating, drinking and merry-making while providing something for everyone. Enjoy authentic German food and beer, live music, dancing and entertainment including a “Best-Dressed” Contest and a “Beer Stein Holding” Contest.
Oct. 6: Merchantville Music Fest

Oct. 6 & 7: Avalon Seafood Festival
The Avalon Seafood Festival features fresh local seafood from area restaurants, craft beer and wine, live-streamed college & NFL football games, local vendors, non-stop live entertainment, and plenty of fun activities for the kids including face painting, balloon art, an art bar and more!
Oct. 6 & 7: Wheaton Arts Festival of Fine Craft
Named one of the Top 200 Craft Shows by Sunshine Artists, the Wheaton Arts Festival of Fine Craft features over 140 juried artists, indoor and outdoor craft demonstrations, hands-on family activities including scarecrow building, a beer and wine garden, entertainment, specialty foods, and the crowd favorite “Glass Pumpkin Patch”!
Oct. 6 & 7: Bordentown Cranberry Festival
The Bordentown Cranberry Festival is one of the largest juried craft shows in New Jersey and features over 150 crafters, artists and vendors offering handmade, vintage and upcycled items for the heart and home! Other highlights of the two-day fall festival include a craft beer garden, live music, and kids’ amusements.
Oct. 7: Saddle Brook Street Fair
The Saddle Brook Street Fair is a day of fall fun for all ages! The street will be transformed into a giant town block party and there will be merchandise & craft vendors, kiddie rides and activities, pony rides, great food, and live music and other entertainment all day long!
Oct. 7: DogFest New Jersey
Grab your leashes and head to the 5th annual DogFest New Jersey in Edison! This dog-friendly fun-filled event features a dog agility course, demonstrations, speakers, treats, freebies, raffles, music, food, and more! DogFest benefits Canine Companions for Independence, and organization that provides highly-trained assistance dogs to adults, children and veterans with disabilities.
Oct. 7: Dunellen HarvestFest
The Dunellen HarvestFest will feature artists and crafters from around the Garden State, local nonprofits, an apple pie contest, a pumpkin decorating contest, carriage rides, activities for kids, great food, live music, dancing and more!
Oct. 7: Riverside Fall Festival
Come to the annual Riverside Fall Festival at Ramsayburg Historic Homestead and enjoy fun family-friendly activities including historic site tours, apple tastings, a smokehouse bacon demonstration, a campfire, great food from Humpty Juniors, and fun children’s activities.
Oct. 12-14: Atlantic City Cinefest
The Atlantic City Cinefest celebrates the art of moviemaking. This New Jersey film festival screens dozens of films, feature and short, narrative and documentary, and is a forum where local and other independent filmmakers can exhibit their work.
Oct. 12-14: South Jersey Pumpkin Show
Celebrate the autumn season at the South Jersey Pumpkin Show! Enjoy a day of family friendly fun at Pedricktown Day in Salem County NJ! This fun fall festival features live music all day, a craft show, a car show, costumed characters, strolling entertainment, rides, great food, an antique marketplace, and even helicopter rides!
Oct. 13: Pine Barrens Jamboree
There will be plenty of down-home fun at the Pine Barrens Jamboree! Spend the day at Wells Mills County Park in Waretown and listen to the music of the Pines while enjoying cultural demonstrations, traditional crafts & crafters, kids’ crafts & games, nature & history programs, great food, and more!
Oct. 13: Haddonfield Fall Festival and Craft Show
Celebrate the change of seasons with a day of fun at the Haddonfield Fall Festival and Craft Show! Haddonfield community groups and artisans will participate in this juried event taking place along Kings Highway and Tanner Street. There will also be fun family activities including scarecrow making, carriage rides, and live entertainment all day!
Oct. 13: Morristown Festival of Books
The Morristown Festival of Books has been hailed as “the best” and “truly outstanding” by authors, publishers, and delighted participants of all kinds. This annual fall multi-venue event features in-person talks by more than 50 world-class authors, book signings, book sales, discussions, and an entire KidFest area dedicated to children’s books featuring 18 children’s authors & illustrators.
Oct. 13: Deutscher Club of Clark Oktoberfest
The Deutscher Club of Clark Oktoberfest will feature live music by Bernies Orchestra and Doppelgänger, a Masskrugstemmen (stein holding contest), traditional German food and beer, a pig roast, and more!
Oct. 13: Sussex County Harvest Honey and Garlic Festival
The Sussex County Harvest Honey and Garlic Festival is a celebration of Northwestern New Jersey’s agricultural heritage. The free family friendly festival features a farmers market, educational displays and materials along with an array of honey products for purchase from the Sussex County Beekeepers Association, and all things garlic from the Garden State Garlic Growers.
Oct. 13: Bergen County Art in the Park Show and Concert
The 54th Annual Bergen County Art in the Park Show and Concert takes place at Van Saun Park in Paramus and features over 100 Bergen County resident visual artists and live music by Lloyd United.
Oct. 13: NJ’s Best Oktoberfest at Forest Lodge
There’s something for everyone at NJ’s Best Oktoberfest at Forest Lodge. The Doppelganger Band will have you dancing and singing to all of your favorite songs! The Festhalle will have all day entertainment, including traditional German dances, cow bell ringing, and alp horn demonstrations too. Bring your appetite for Forest Lodge’s hearty menu of German-American foods and be sure to leave room for the scrumptious German cakes and strudels! Oct. 13: Autumn in Moorestown
Autumn in Moorestown, presented by the Moorestown Business Association, is an annual Moorestown tradition. The fall festival includes an antique and classic car show. live music, craft beer garden, plenty of crafters and artists offering works for sale, great food, and family activities such as scarecrow making and pumpkin painting.
Oct. 13 & 14: Weekend Journey Through the Past
Somerset County’s Weekend Journey Through the Past offers participants the opportunity to explore 30 historic locations in Somerset County NJ free of charge. There will be children’s activities at every site. The weekend’s activities include interpretive tours and reenactments, appearances by famous historical figures, special exhibitions, military encampments, demonstrations of traditional trades and crafts, live period music and theatrical performances, antiques sales, and more.
Oct. 13 & 14: Stafford Township Fall Wine Festival
Sample dozens of wines from nine of New Jersey’s leading wineries while enjoying the beautiful lakefront setting at the Stafford Township Fall Wine Festival. Oct. 14: Burlington County Fall Float Festival
Come on out to the Burlington County Fall Float Festival – a free, family family-friendly event at Smithville Park! Oct. 14: Rutgers Gardens Fall Festival
Bring the whole family to the Rutgers Gardens Fall Festival in New Brunswick! Explore the many different areas in the gardens by taking part in a scavenger hunt, playing lawn games in the Evergreen Garden, touring the student farm, and visiting the animals from the Cook Animal Farm. Oct. 14: Van Campen Day
Van Campen Day is hosted by the Walpack Historical Society and the National Park Service and includes a parade led by the Colonial Musketeers, a tour of nearby historical sites and markers, colonial era crafts and cooking demonstrations, tours of the Inn by costumed guides, and more.
Oct. 20: Sea Isle City Octoberfest

Oct. 20: Downtown Toms River Harvest Arts Festival
The Downtown Toms River Harvest Arts Festival will feature live entertainment and many artists who will be displaying their work in a juried art show. Other festival highlights include food trucks, handcraft & merchandise vendors, a beer and wine garden, and kids activities including free pumpkin painting and games, inflatables & rides, sand art, and more!
Oct. 20: Jersey Shore Makerfest 2018
Jersey Shore Makerfest 2018 is a fun experimental, experiential, educational, and FREE annual community event, a celebration of creativity and imagination that’s part MythBusters, part science lab, part county fair, and part art studio! It consists of 70-100 maker booths, a drone/RC field, LearningSpaces for workshops, an EdTalk stage, a Roborena, the Jersey Shore Hackathon, and the Toms River United Sustainability Team (TRUST) Green Fair.
Oct. 20: Hoboken Harvest Festival
Enjoy an afternoon of family friendly fun for all ages at the Hoboken Harvest Festival. There will be live music and dancing, pumpkin painting, a hay maze, horse & carriage rides, a trackless train, inflatable rides, pony rides, petting zoo, face painting, craft activities, local vendors, great food, and lots more!
Oct. 20 & 21: Trails4Tails Fest
Trails4Tails Fest is all about running and dogs! This fun festival takes place at Washington Crossing State Park and includes a one-mile fun run, a 5K run, a 5K run with dogs and a 50K ultra marathon. In addition to the trail runs, the festival features a beer and wine garden, vendors, yoga, lawn games, a dog agility course, camping, and more! Proceeds from the event benefit It’s A Ruff Life Dog Rescue.
Oct. 20 & 21: Chatsworth Cranberry Festival
The Chatsworth Cranberry Festival celebrates New Jersey’s cranberry harvest and is a tribute to the local arts and culture of the New Jersey Pine Barrens. This event is the second largest cranberry festival in the country and features many local artists and craftsmen, some of whom will be demonstrating their crafts as well as offering their items for sale. Other festival highlights include breakfast each morning, live southern/classic rock, a classic car show, antique dealers, cranberry bog tours, and – of course – lots of cranberries and cranberry products for purchase.
Oct. 20 & 21: Four Centuries in a Weekend
Travel through Four Centuries in a Weekend – Explore Historic Union County! This exciting weekend offers the opportunity to visit more than 30 historic sites in Union County NJ for free and enjoy special activities at each site. The event includes children’s games and activities, demonstrations of early farm life activities and trades, battle reenactments, free tours, guided hikes, flashlight tours of historic cemeteries, the opportunity to “meet” historic figures, craft activities, and much more!
Oct. 20 & 21: Pitman Autumn Fest
The Pitman Autumn Fest is fun for all ages and features an indoor carnival, a pumpkin patch, face painting, magic shows, a costume contest, games, crafts, bubble ball races, cornhole tournaments, great food, a beer garden, and much more!
Oct. 21: 18th Century Field Day at Red Bank Battlefield
Enjoy battle reenactments, colonial demonstrators, vendors, food, and fun at the 18th Century Field Day at Red Bank Battlefield! Learn about the Battle of Red Bank and why New Jersey is called “The Crossroads of the American Revolution.” Tour the Whitall House and visit with hearth cookers preparing delicious fall-inspired food. Take in a spectacular sword fight and enjoy a colonial magic show. Cheer on the Jonas Cattell Run participants at the finish line. Fun, food, and activities for everyone!
Oct. 21: Country Living Fair
The Country Living Fair at Historic Batsto Village features something country for everyone! There will be crafts, exhibits, music, old-time engines & cars, food, antiques, pony rides, farm equipment, chain-saw art, quilting, and much more!
Oct. 21: Celebrate Fall Festival
The Celebrate Fall Festival at Reeves Reed Arboretum in Summit is fun for the whole family with yummy food, crafts, games, entertainment, a costume parade, a spooky trail walk, lots of pumpkins, the grazing goats, and much more!
Oct. 21: Fair Lawn Street Fair and Craft Show

Oct. 27 – 29: Westfield presents AddamsFest
AddamsFest is a brand new, three day festival in Westfield NJ honoring the legacy of hometown cartoonist Charles Addams, creator of The Addams Family! Westfield will be transformed to all things Addams Family with family themed events, movie screenings, art exhibits, a beer garden, a masquerade ball and much more!
Oct. 28: South Jersey GeekFest
Celebrate your inner geek with fellow video gamers, larpers, board game enthusiasts, Quidditch players, cosplayers, YouTube stars, and more at the South Jersey GeekFest!
Oct. 28: Stone Harbor Harvest Festival
Come on out to the Stone Harbor Harvest Festival and enjoy hayrides, pumpkin decorating, trick or treating in local shops, and creepy & crawly (but cute!) animals!
Oct. 28 & 29: North American Sea Glass Festival
The North American Sea Glass Festival showcases the very best in sea glass artisans, who will display their work and collections. The event features a Shard of the Year contest, presentations from experts, and talks on sea glass sourcing and beachcombing in Puerto Rico following Hurricane Maria. Experts will be on hand to help guests identify their shards.
Oct. 29: New Providence Street Fair
The New Providence Street Fair offers attractions for everyone, young and old. As in previous years, the family-friendly event provides entertainment for the kids, such as kiddie rides, pony rides, a petting zoo, balloons and a clown performer. Enjoy delicious food and shopping with a variety of vendors who will have many unique items at great prices. Local non-profit organizations will be on hand and will host contests and games for all attendees.
Oct. 29: Diwali Fest NJ
Diwali Fest NJ showcases the talent of local South Asian American dancers, musicians, chefs, writers, and artists. This family friendly festival offers attendees the opportunity to participate in hands-on workshops such as cooking, creating Indian folk art, and Bollywood dancing while sampling a variety of regional cuisines from local South Asian restaurants. Diwali Fest NJ also features an eclectic mix of jewelry, clothing, and handicraft vendors. The festivities conclude with the traditional lighting of lamps.
Nov. 3: Cape May Fall Arts and Crafts Festival
The Cape May Fall Arts and Crafts Festival will showcase handmade mixed arts and crafts vendors as more than 40 vendors come to Cape May to sell hand-made novelties including seasonal decorations, gift items and more.
Nov. 3: Upper Twp. Pumpkin Classic Car Show & Fall Festival
Come on out to the Upper Township Pumpkin Classic Car Show and Fall Festival and enjoy a day of classic cars, great music, spectacular food, craft vendors, and – new this year – the Kids Zone!
Nov. 4: Ocean City Quiet Festival
