The Princess Bride at the Union County Performing Arts Center

The 1987 film based on William Goldman’s novel of the same name, a young farmhand, Wesley, falls in love with the beautiful Buttercup who lives on the farm that he works on. Wesley plans to marry Buttercup before he goes missing for five years after being kidnapped by pirates. Believing Wesley is dead, Buttercup decides to marry the evil Prince Humperdinck. Before the wedding, Buttercup is kidnapped by a group of outlaws. Prince Humperdinck sets out to find her, but it’s a mysterious pirate who actually rescues this damsel in distress.
