Hey everyone… Happy Monday! Well, it sure was a great weekend to be outside! We had a great time at the “Day In Old Monmouth” event at Poricy Park in Red Bank (more on Poricy Park soon!). I hope you were able to get out there and enjoy some of the fun things that were going on in New Jersey. Now… on to this week in New Jersey! There are so many awesome things going on in New Jersey this week that it was really hard to narrow the choices down to a Top 5 list. But I muscled through, and here they are… the top five things to do in New Jersey this week!

1. Spirit of the Jerseys State History Fair

Celebrate our state’s rich historical heritage at the Spirit of the Jerseys State History Fair! This free, award-winning historical festival will feature fun things to do and see for all ages including period games, live music, an antique car show, Civil War era photography demonstrations, antique bicycle demonstrations by the NJ Wheelmen, Lenape cooking demonstrations, 19th century baseball games, the New Jersey Hall of Fame Mobile Museum, and much, much more! Don’t miss the opportunity to meet American General George Washington, Molly Pitcher, Abraham Lincoln, Ulysses S. Grant, Clara Barton, Walt Whitman, and British General Sir Henry Clinton (reenactors)! Suggested parking donation: $10.
2. Big Brew Sussex Beer Festival

If you are a beer aficionado, then there’s no better place to spend a beautiful spring afternoon than at The Big Brew Sussex Beer Festival! This huge beer festival will feature over 200 unique tasting opportunities including beer from awesome New Jersey breweries such as Flying Fish Brewing Company, Angry Erik Brewing, Forgotten Boardwalk Brewing, Beach Haus Brewery, and Ramstein Beer. The Big Brew Sussex Beer Festival will also feature fantastic food from gourmet food trucks such as The Cow and The Curd, Oink and Moo BBQ, Empanada Guy, Waffle de Lys, The Outslider, and Tony Boloney’s and live music from Sick Star Nation. Tickets: $63 – general admission (includes over 200 unlimited craft beer tastings and souvenir tasting glass); $15 – designated driver. Must be over 21 and have picture ID.
3. Millville Wheels and Wings Airshow

The Millville Wheels and Wings Airshow is an action-packed, adrenaline-filled weekend featuring more than five hours of continuous aerial performances by military airplanes, modern jets, historic warbirds, and exciting aerobatic acts! Take in the thrilling performance of the USAF F-16 Thunderbirds at their only area performance for 2015. Other highlights of the Wheels and Wings Airshow include the United States Army Golden Knights Parachute Team performing precision freefall demonstrations, hundreds of beautifully restored classic cars, great food, and lots of fun things to do! The Millville Wheels and Wings Airshow takes place on Saturday and Sunday (May 9th and 10th) from 10am to 6pm. Tickets at the gate: $15 for adults and $10 for children (12 and under). Discounted advance tickets available (through May 1), as well as VIP tickets (includes access to the VIP, complimentary food & beverages, and VIP parking pass). The Millville Wheels and Wings Airshow benefits the Millville Army Air Field Museum.
4. Super Science Saturday: New Jersey State Science Festival

This weekend, the New Jersey State Museum will present the 35th Annual Super Science Saturday: New Jersey State Science Festival! This event is a FREE fun-filled day with tons of fun things to do and see including hands-on activities, demonstrations, live entertainment, and more. More than 30 science, engineering, technology, and educational organizations from New Jersey and the surrounding area will be on hand for this spectacular event including the NJ Audubon Society, NSS Philadelphia Area Space Alliance, Jenkinson’s Aquarium, Field Station Dinosaur, Liberty Science Center, and many more. Highlights of Super Science Saturday will include a petting zoo, STEM topics like robotics demonstrations and 3-D printing, sunlight photography, hands-on meteorite and fossil exhibits, plus many other fun activities. Bring your archaeology or natural history “finds” and the Museum’s staff will help you to identify them! The New Jersey Planetarium will also be open on Super Science Saturday with six programs running throughout the day (discounted price of $5 per person). Free parking in the State House Garage and food vendors will be on site.
5. Spring Boardwalk Classic Car Show

Head on down to the boardwalk in Wildwood to see an incredible collection of classic cars and trucks at the annual Spring Boardwalk Classic Car Show. The “Boardwalk Top 40” winners will be displayed Saturday at 5 p.m. in front of the Wildwoods Convention Center.
