Welcome Summer!!! My kids start their summer break today and I am so excited to kick our New Jersey adventures into high gear for the next few months!!! There are so many fun things to do happening in New Jersey this week! From the Tall Ships Festival in Camden (we are definitely doing that!), to LobsterFest, to the Whitesbog Blueberry Festival and more, there’s a New Jersey event for everyone! Read on for the top five things to do in New Jersey this week…
1. LobsterFest 2015
June 27th & 28th
Bradley Beach, New Jersey
This free two-day event is one of the biggest and best Jersey shore events of the summer! The area’s best seafood restaurateurs and vendors will be at LobsterFest to prepare all kinds of mouthwatering, delicious lobster dishes! Enjoy lobster macaroni and cheese, broiled lobster, lobster emapanadas, lobster rolls, and more! Other food vendors will also be on hand with traditional festival food and there is a beer and wine garden. Other things to do at LobsterFest include enjoying 2 days of live entertainment, shopping with over 100 craft and specialty vendors, and lots of fun things to do for kids including a giant waterslide, rides, face painters and sand art. Entertainment and activities are free; food and beverage prices are set by vendors.
2. 32nd Annual Whitesbog Blueberry Festival
10am – 4pm

Browns Mills, New Jersey
The Whitesbog Blueberry Festival is an annual New Jersey Pine Barrens tradition celebrating all things blueberry!!! It’s a day of fun things to do for visitors of all ages! Try some delicious blueberry dishes and other fantastic festival foods, listen to live country and bluegrass music, enjoy living history tours and wagon rides around Whitesbog Village, participate in the blueberry pie eating contest, do some blueberry picking, stroll and shop along crafters’ and artists’ row, hunt for the Jersey Devil, play traditional games, and more!. $10 per carload. 3. Beachstock 2015
10am – 10pm
Margate, New Jersey
Margate’s 4th Annual Beachstock is billed as “The Planet’s Biggest Beach Party” and it may very well be just that! This huge Jersey shore event is packed with fun things to do… live bands, family-friendly activities, fabulous food and a beer garden, paddleboarding races, a free surf clinic, kids’ games, treasure hunts, a beach volleyball tournament, and more!!! The day wraps up with a free movie and bonfire on the beach at 8:30pm. No beach tags are required for Beachstock 2015!! Beachstock raindate: June 28th.
4. Tall Ships Festival – Camden
June 25th – 11am – 7pm

For just four days, the grandest ships of days gone by will grace the Delaware riverfront in Camden, New Jersey, as well as in neighboring Philadelphia. Visitors to the Tall Ships Festival will have the opportunity to view and tour more than a dozen international and domestic Tall Ships, including the US Coast Guard vessel Barque Eagle, Brazilian vessel Cisne Branco, French vessel L’Hermione, Canadian Barque Picton Castle, and more! Day sails aboard ships will be available. The world’s largest rubber ducky will also be floating in the Delaware! In addition to the fabulous ships, the Tall Ships festival will feature live music and entertainment, food and beverage vendors, a ferris wheel, and inflatable amusements. 5. Just Jersey Food Truck & Music Festival

Dine on delicious food while enjoying the festival’s beer and wine garden and the amazing sounds School of Rock Randolph, SteppingSTONE Band, DEVI, and Mr. Love Joy. Over 30 gourmet food trucks from all over New Jersey will be on hand for this fantastic event which benefits GiGi’s Playhouse of Hillsboro, Morris Rugby, and the Roxbury Food Pantry. The festival will also feature fun things to do for the kids, a mechanical bull, shopping with vendors, and more. Admission to the Just Jersey Food Truck & Music Festival is $5 per person (free for ages 12 and under). Bring a can or boxed item to donate to the Roxbury Food Pantry and save $1 on admission.
