There are so many things to do in New Jersey this week, it was hard to choose just five to spotlight! However, after a lot of research, I’ve narrowed the list down the top five things to do around the state this week…

1. Barefoot Grape Stomping at Four Sisters Winery

2. Harlem Globetrotters at the Wildwood Convention Center

Travel back in time to the 1980’s with The Romantics (Talking in Your Sleep, What I Like About You), The Smithereens (A Girl Like You, Only a Memory), Marshall Crenshaw (Someday Someway), and Tommy Tutone (867-5309, Jenny). 4. National Lighthouse Day at the Cape May Lighthouse

Celebrate National Lighthouse Day at Cape May Lighthouse. Activities include:

  • Pirate hat-making for kids
  • Storytelling about the lighthouse, pirates and shipwrecks, and the ghosts of the lighthouse
  • Fun and educational programs by the Cape May County Municipal Utilities Authority and the Nature Center of Cape May
  • Performers singing songs of the sea
  • Appearance by Pete the Pirate, the mascot of the Cape May Lewes Ferry
  • Vendors offering nautical merchandise
  • Refreshments

5. More Farm Fairs!

The farm fair season is kicking into high gear with fairs happening all over New Jersey this week. The New Jersey State Fair in Sussex County continues this week, with several other county farm and 4-H fairs happening as well. No matter where you live, there’s sure to be a fair celebrating the Garden State nearby. Here’s where you can find them this week…
