Well, New Jersey, this NJ state shutdown is a major bummer, particularly since our state parks and historic sites are now closed until further notice. We’re hoping the shutdown will be short-lived, but in the meantime many of you had plans to visit state parks and historic sites and are now looking for other things to do. So, to help you all out, we’ve put together a list of places to go during the NJ state government shutdown. There are tons of county parks, national parks, nature preserves and wildlife refuges, local parks, and other awesome places to visit in New Jersey and – on the positive side of this negative situation – you may just find a hidden “Jersey gem” that you’ll want to visit again and again!
