The Battleship New Jersey will open her decks for all three nights of fireworks over the Delaware River waterfront – July 1st, 2nd and 4th! Guests can come aboard for the unique view of the fireworks from the Battleship’s forecastle (forward deck). The ship will open at 7pm on July 1st and 2nd, and at 6pm on July 4th. There will be music (DJ on July 1st and 2nd; Beat-Tells band on July 4th) and food and bar concessions each night.

Collingswood’s annual 4th of July Bike Parade will be hosted by Bike Up Collingswood. The bike parade will proceed from West Zane and Haddon Avenues to the Harrison Avenue entrance of Knight Park where participants can enjoy ice cream courtesy of American Legion Tatem Shields Post 17. Kids, families and cyclists are encouraged to decorate their bikes, wagons, strollers, and scooters patriotically. Helmets are required for all riders.

Refreshments will be available for purchase. Blankets only on turf – no chairs. Free admission; donations are encouraged. Rain Date: July 10th.

Declaration of Independence Reading in Haddonfield

The Declaration of Independence will be read at 9:30am in front of the Indian King Tavern. The Indian King will be open to the public following the July 4th parade. Members of the 2nd Pennsylvania Regiment of the Continental Line will be available to speak with visitors about the life of a Revolutionary War soldier.

Haddonfield’s July 4th parade steps off from Kings Highway and Chestnut Street. The Lions Club will provide free cold drinks at the high school’s front lawn. Hot dogs and pretzels will be available for purchase.
