Morris County Easter Events
Head on over to Alstede Farms for a fun day of Easter Egg Hunts, photos with the Easter Bunny (bring your camera), wagon rides, pony rides, a moon bounce, visits with the baby animals, fun games, cozy campfires (with marshmallow roasting for kids!), complimentary cider, and lots more! Imagine That Museum will be hosting breakfast with the Easter Bunny on Easter morning (April 16, 2017) at 10:00 am. This fun Easter event will also include an Easter parade and an Easter Egg Hunt! See website for menu and to purchase advance tickets (recommended). Breakfast with the Easter Bunny will also take place on April 1 & 2, 2017 (no egg hunts or parades on these dates), also at 10am.
The Jefferson Township Easter Egg Hunt will be held on April 1, 2017 in the Jefferson Township Middle School gymnasium at 1:00 pm. The Easter Bunny will be available for photos. The Jefferson Township Middle School Student Council/Red Cross Clubs will also be holding a Bake Sale benefitting the Operation Camp Jefferson 2017 Fund which provides children in financial need with assistance in attending the township’s summer day camp program. The Recreation Department will be accepting donations for township residents in need of food through the township’s food pantries. Especially needed are non-perishable food items, but paper products, household products, and/or toiletries will also be accepted.
Jacksonville Chapel will host an Easter Egg Hunt on April 15, 2017 at 10:00 am and 11:30 am. This fun kids’ Easter celebration will begin with music, fun, and the true Easter story, and will be followed by an Easter Egg Hunt.
The annual Morristown Easter Egg Hunt will be held at Lidgerwood Park on April 1, 2017 at 10:00 am. This fun Easter event will feature candy for all the kids, a visit from the Easter Bunny, face painting and balloon animals. In the event of rain, the Easter Egg Hunt will be held in the main gym at Morristown High School.
King of Kings Lutheran Church invites the community to join them for an Easter celebration and Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 8, from 10:00am – 12:00pm (rain or shine). The fun will begin with Easter crafts and the Easter story indoors, followed by the Easter Egg Hunt and refreshments outside on the front lawn. A donation of a can of soup for the local food pantry or $1 donation would be greatly appreciated.
The annual Mountain Lakes Easter Egg Hunt will be held at Midvale Park on April 9, 2017 at 1:00pm.
The Wharton Fire Department Easter Egg Hunt will be held at Robert Street Park on April 15, 2017 at 10:00am.
Celebrate Easter with a 45-minute round-trip ride along the Morristown & Erie Railway’s historic Whippanong Trail. The Easter Bunny Express is a 10 mile train ride that departs from and returns to the Whippany Railway Museum in Morris County. The Easter Bunny will greet everyone while the train crew hands out Easter treats for the kids. The Easter Bunny Express will run hourly between 1:00 and 4:00 pm on April 8, 9, & 15, 2017.
