Dress up in your costumes and trick or treat on the boardwalk with your family. This family-friendly Halloween celebration will feature free face painting, arts and crafts, games, pumpkin patches, and more! Visit Jenkinson’s Aquarium for the Underwater Pumpkin Carving Show. Don’t miss Perky’s Pumpkin Derby on October 28th! Decorate your pumpkin, attach wheels, and see how fast it goes!

This fall, visit Tuckerton Seaport for a “fright-astic” Halloween adventure known in local lore as Haunted Seaport. The Haunted Seaport will take place on October 26th through October 28th from 6:00pm until 9:00pm each night. Pirates and sea captains lost at sea long ago will stroll the Seaport’s boardwalk for a night of screams. Try to find your way out of the phragmites maze and climb aboard a hayride for a ghostly howling good time through the Haunted Woods. Join in a game of black light, glow in the dark, mini-golf! Meet and greet with the Jersey Devil while dancing to music sure to bring even zombies back life. There will also be a non-scary pumpkin patch with crafts, stories, games, and kid-friendly fall activities. Admission: $10 for adults, $5 for kids ages 5-12  (Free for Seaport Members and Kids under 5). Hayride: $5

79th Annual Toms River Volunteer Fire Company #1 Halloween Parade

The Toms River Volunteer Fire Company #1 Halloween Parade is the second largest Halloween Parade in the world. Each year, this New Jersey Halloween parade boasts over 6,000 participants and over 100,000 spectators. The parade begins at 7:00 pm, but it’s recommended that spectators arrive 2 hours prior (bring blankets and chairs). The Halloween Parade begins at the Toms River Shopping Centre (corner of Rt. 37 & Main St.), travels down Main Street, then turns left onto Washington Street, ending at the corner of Washington Street & Hooper Ave.

The Point Pleasant Halloween Parade attracts an abundance of spectators who line the streets to catch a glimpse of the hundreds of contestants, including couples, groups, children and even pets who vie to be recognized for their imaginative and often outrageous costumes. Participation is open to individuals of all ages, groups, pets, motorized and non-motorized floats, dance groups, and zombies! Pre-registration is required. The parade marches down Bridge Avenue to Community Park where the winners are announced and trophies awarded.
