The Stony Brook Millstone Watershed Butterfly Festival is a fun, family-oriented day that has grown to be a major regional event, attracting more than 3,000 visitors. The Butterfly Festival focuses on the importance of maintaining the delicate balance between humans and the natural world. This year’s festival will feature live music, an obstacle course and dunk tank, hay rides,great food, a beer garden, nature walks, shopping with local artists, the popular Butterfly and Bug Parade, educational hands-on exhibits, the famed insect zoo, and live butterflies in the Kate Gorrie Butterfly House.
