I love a parade (♪ cue the music ♫)! Who doesn’t?! And I can’t think of a better way to usher in the holiday season in New Jersey than with a festive, hometown Christmas parade. Wallington Fire Department Holiday Parade

Dozens of fire departments and EMS squads from around New Jersey participate in this annual parade featuring decorated fire trucks and floats, holiday music, and the arrival of Santa Claus!

North Arlington Fire Department Santa Parade

North Arlington, New Jersey

The North Arlington Fire Department’s Annual Santa Claus Parade and Annual Food Drive will be held on Saturday, November 28th. Beginning at 9:00am Santa and his friends will travel the streets of North Arlington! At approximately 12:00 noon Santa will be at Fire Headquarters (3 Legion Place). This year, in conjunction with the Queen of Peace Food Pantry, the North Arlington Fire Department will be collecting food (canned goods, dry goods & non-perishable items) for our fellow residents in need. Donations will be collected along the parade route.

Moorestown Holiday Parade

The Moorestown Lions Club will host its 55th annual Holiday Parade on December 5th. The theme of this year’s parade is “Holiday Movies.” The parade begins at Central and Chester Avenues, travels north to Main Street, continues to Church Street, and concludes at Memorial Field. This family friendly holiday event features performances by string bands, bag pipers, the Moorestown High School Band, and the Liberty Band. There will also be marching units from various community groups and floats.

Stone Harbor Christmas Parade

Ring in the holiday season with family and friends at the annual Stone Harbor Christmas Parade. The parade route begins on 111th Street, travels along 3rd Avenue, turns onto 96th Street, and ends at the 95th Street Beach Lot.

West Cape May Christmas Parade

Kick off the holiday season with the West Cape May Christmas! Now in its 50th year, this Cape May Christmas tradition features over three hours of family fun and entertainment, including mummers, bands, floats, and (of course) Santa! The parade begins at the West Cape May Volunteer Firehouse, marches south on Broadway, winds east on Perry, and finishes at Carpenter Lane in the City of Cape May.

Greater Wildwood Jaycees’ Christmas Parade

The Greater Wildwood Jaycees’ Christmas Parade will take place on Friday, December 11th. This family friendly holiday event features marching bands, floats, fire trucks and other decorated vehicles, and the arrival of Santa. The parade begins at 16th Avenue in North Wildwood and heads south along Central and Pacific Avenues through the Holly Beach Station Mall to Heather Avenue (Crest Pier) in Wildwood Crest. It then heads east towards Ocean Avenue and ends at the Wildwoods Convention Center where the Christmas tree lighting and awards ceremony will take place. Rain date: December 13.

This year’s parade theme will be “Home for the Holidays: Honoring Our Veterans,” saluting the brave men and women who have served in the military. The parade begins at High Street and Harrison Avenue and marches south on High Street to City Hall.

Vineland Holiday Parade

This Vineland Holiday Parade is a much anticipated community event and features holiday themed floats, cars, bands and more as downtown Vineland is filled with thousands of people celebrating the season. Santa caps off the festivities by lighting up the town at the end of the parade just as he has for decades so be sure to bring the kids down for this fun event.

Bridgeton Christmas Holiday Parade

Celebrate the season at the Bridgeton Christmas Parade! This fun holiday event features marching bands, classic cars and trucks, floats, horses, and – of course – Santa Claus! Please bring canned goods to help restock the local food banks for the holidays and books to encourage children (and everyone!) to read more. The parade starts at West Commerce and West Avenue, continues on West Commerce to Laurel Street, then marches down North Laurel Street turning onto Washington Street, and continues to Mayor Aitken Drive ending at the Canoe House.

Swedesboro will celebrates the start of the holiday season with its annual Christmas Parade and the arrival of Santa on November 28th. The parade begin on Kings Highway at Walter Hill School and will continue through the downtown area, ending at Church Street. Immediately following the parade, Santa and Mrs. Claus will be visiting with children in the Woolwich Fire House until 4pm. The day’s festivities will conclude at Borough Hall with the annual Swedesboro Christmas tree lighting ceremony and Christmas caroling at 6:30pm. Rain date December 5th.

The Metuchen Fire Department paves the way for Santa as he cruises down Main Street to the Senior Center.
